reader, anonymous, writes (3 July 2006): Hi I too have a background in theatre. What about event management? You'd be good at PR also I would think. What about teaching acting in a theatre school? Setting up your own school? Theatre reviewing (could be hard). Hmmm University lecturing. Film directing. Working with a festival- big city festival or a little village one. What about theatre for disadvantage youths? Or in a developing country!

reader, anonymous, writes (2 July 2006): Rather than trying to think about a job which uses exactly the same skillset, try and think of those that can use transferable skills. So, I imagine as a theatre director you're good at dealing with people, you can manage well, you're confident and you have good project management skills. There are companies all over the world crying out for competent people like you! Hope this helps :-)
