reader, anonymous, writes (2 November 2007): You don't actually need any qualifications to join the police force, although decent GCSE grades or A levels would be beneficial. I also want to be in the police force, although i was advised by a couple of Police officers not to join until I'm at least 24 because it's very time consuming and heavy going. The training's not difficult and i think you have to start off as a community officer at first, especially if you have no qualifications when you join =]
