writes: i have been a stay at home for 8yrs and at last my youngest is now at school full time(we had a lot of trouble getting him settledas he has adhd and does not settle with strangers at all).However i am going crazy being stuck at home now and want to get back to work,however being out of the loop for so long i dont know where to begin!I dont drive (to be honest i dont want to drive)and so am limited as to local work.thankfully there is a major shopping centre close to me and i think i could get hours during the day to fit in with school but how can i work around holidays? i have no family close by and very few friends that i would trust leaving my children with.let alone a childminder,but most of my friends either work or have to much to cope with with their own kids.my yougest has problems being left with strangers so are there any options that i could work from home? i have 11 g.c.s.e.s(maths.english chemistry physics biology history etc.and really want to make use of these.i had thought of training to teach adults maths but you still need to be a qualified teacher even to help with basic numeracy!my mind is in a spin.does anyone have a suggestion for home work that doesnt invole envelopes! reader, anonymous, writes (9 November 2006): If you go to the job centre, there is special help for women wanting to return to work. Part-time perhaps.
There are also group after school hours place where children can be supervised.
To work around the holidays, you can always join an recruitment agency and get temp work.
Not driving will restrict some work but you can use public transport or work locally.
