well first of all giving up isn't the way to ever live up your dream, sometimes the popularity of one thing can cause harm to the people that would like to pursue it.

If you havent had any experience in hairdressing maybe the employers are reluctant to employ you because of money and time issues. To gain their interest through a resume u can achieve success by getting the skills you need.

Now for hairdressing u need people skills (to be social) and you need to know how to deal with difficult situations ect. If you cant find exactly what you need you could try beauty therapy assistant or a salon of a different kind. Work there and get good skills. while working there look for employment in the hairdressing path and try to show them what you really got. good luck

DrPsych agony auntYou need to get experience to impress the salons...why not find out about charities in your area while you are unemployed that need hairdressers. I am sure there are lots of community groups out there working with older people, people with mental or physical health issues etc who would love you to come in and offer free hairdressing services. It could give you valuable experience of working with people. Why not go back to your college and talk to your tutor about your situation? They may know of many opportunities that you are unaware of.

HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT GOING ALONE AND DOING MOBILE HAIR DRESSING. IT TAKES ALONG TIME TO BUILD UP CLIENTEL BUT YOU NEVER KNOW IN 10 YEARS TIME YOUR WISH MAY COME TRUE.

START BY FINDING HOW MUCH IT WILL COST TO GET ALL UR EQUIPTMENT AND THEN INSURANCE AND START SAVING. WHILE YOUR SAVING KEEP LOOKING FOR A SALON JOB OR EVEN RENT A CHAIR.

THERE ARE ALOT OF OPTIONS FOR YOU OUT THERE YOU JUST GOTTA GIVE IT YOUR ALL AND NEVER GIVE UP
