writes: I am looking to pursue a career in the Travel and Tourism Industry, looking towards working as an 'Airline Reservations Officer'. In 1998 I completed a one year course in Leisure and Tourism over in the UK but this course did not include operating a computerised reservation system or cover automated fares/ticketing.I have been looking at various options of courses. I am 32years of age and looking for the quickest/most convenient path to assist me in my desire to work as an 'Airline Officer'My work experience has been customer based and I have worked overseas for a travel company, gained a GNVQ Level 2 in Leisure and Tourism and currently working as an usher for Cirque Du Soleil in Sydney. I would really like to know the actual requirement for the positionas an Airline Officer and if there is an agency who deal specifically with airline recruitment.I do not want to take up a course which is not needed for this post but not clear on my map of how to achieve my goal. I would appreciate any assistance that you may be able to give me concerning this matter. Many thanks, Anna Sheppard Reply to this Question |
