reader, anonymous, writes (20 July 2006): You must have a degree accredited by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and be a member of the Health Professions Council (HPC).
Go to www.prospects.ac.uk and type in "speech therapist" in the top right search textbox. It's the first search result; it should have all the answers you're looking for:
