Hi I'm a year 10 high-school student with hopes of one day becoming a Marketing Manager, I know you have to work your way up to get that job, and do a commerce degree (majoring in marketing and possibly management) but I'm not sure how I would 'get my foot in the door' to gain experience. Can anyone help?

Jadzia1127 agony aunt You are at the perfect time to get 'your foot in the door'. Find a company you would like to someday work for and tell them you want to volunteer for their marketing manager.

Yes that is right NO PAY! Yet wait it does get you where you want. You do the grunt work, everything the manager asks of you and you will get to see the inside out of the job. Not only that you will also have a great in when your schooling is done.

Many times forward thinking teens do this and not only get the experience but any paying internship offered to them first.
