The only time I have ever heard of that happening the person already worked in the company, they had made the right connections and friends, and had the job and schooling offered to them on a silver platter.
Some companies do have education plans, where they will pay for some or all your education while you work for them. Take them up on the offer and get trained in HR. The more a company has to invest in you the more you are worth to them, so the chances would be good if you got the training you could get the job.
