writes: Hi I just need a little advice.I am 18 years old currently studying media at college and I only have a few months left there so now its time too decide what I want too do next year.I have decided that a modern appreticeship may suit me more as I want too do somthing practical and want too start earning money.I was just wandering if anyone knows anything about Painting and Decorating? As this is an area im interested in. Just wanted too know about wages, and the minimum wage etc and whether they do it. Also the working hours and the class of people you get doing painting and decorating? Are they rough or generally decent people.Also I was thinking about applying for the one year course at a college near me, which is the level 3 course. don't know your country but try:
1. Make a list of all painter/decorator companies in your area
2. Phone them and tell the telephonist your problem
Telephonists are trained to help, so you'll probably get put onto the right person
otherwise:
3. Ask for whoever deals with 'Personnel' matters and talk with them
Another approach is to search for 'painter decorator association' locally. Then either phone or email them
