Talk to a business advisor and your bank manager about starting up your own business. Write a clear business plan setting out what you would like to do and achieve in the next few years for your business. Do some market research about what photography is available in your area - know your competition and identify what areas of photography are underrepresented. Put together a portfolio of your work for prospective clients. Think about putting together a brochure and website. Start doing some private work part-time now as a student - you will get a feel for the market demand and expectations of your clients.
